96 Tests PN: B511119

Components:

45x Ab-conjugated beads (S4P8 - Canine IL-8 ab-bead). PN: B511119A. One vial containing 100 µL of anticanine IL-8 conjugated to AimPlex Bead S4P8.

25x Biotin-detection Ab (Canine IL-8 Biotin-dAb). PN: B511119B. One vial containing 100 µL of biotinylated anticanine IL-8.

Lyophilized Standard Mix-Canine Group 1 Panel A, 10-Plex. PN: KG10010. One vial containing lyophilized recombinant IFNγ, IL-2, IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, IL-12p40, IL-17A, MCP-1, SCF and TNFα. Note: If multiple analyte kits on the above target list are ordered as a panel, only one vial of standard mix is supplied for those analyte kits.

Storage:  2-8 C in the dark.

Important: Sodium azide forms explosive compounds with heavy metals. These products contain <0.05% (w/w) azide which with repeated contact with lead and copper commonly found in plumbing drains may result in the buildup of shock sensitive compounds. Dispose in accordance with regulations from your institute.

Application: Optimal antibody pair and antigen standard for assaying Canine IL-8.  Can be multiplexed with other analytes in Canine Group 1.  To be used in conjunction with the AimPlex NR Basic Kit (PN: P100001) and a diluent kit. Refer to the AimPlex Multiplex Immunoassay User Manual and kit inserts for the assay procedure.

For Research Use Only.  Not for use in diagnostic procedures.

Description:

Interleukin-8 (P41324) is a member of the CXC chemokine family produced by a variety of blood and tissue cells. It has a specificity for neutrophils and very little effect on other blood cells. IL-8 targets neutrophils to migrate towards the site of infection and induces phagocytosis on arrival. Aberrant production of IL-8 can suggest many different chronic inflammatory conditions, as it may inhibit typical neutrophil function. IL-8 does contribute to more beneficial proinflammatory activities such as angiogenesis and immune cell activation. There are correlations to palmoplantar pustulosis and atherosclerosis.
