96 Tests PN: B113539

Components:

45x Ab-conjugated beads (S4P10 - human sNCAM-1 Ab-bead). PN: B113539A. One vial containing 100 µL of anti-human sNCAM-1 conjugated to AimPlex Bead S4P10.

25x Biotin-detection (human sNCAM-1 Biotin-dAb). PN: B113539B. One vial containing 100 µL of biotinylated anti-human sNCAM-1.

Lyophilized Standard Mix-Human Group 9 Panel A, 8-Plex. PN: HG9008A. One vial containing lyophilized recombinant human sFas, sICAM-3, sL-selectin, sP-selectin, sIL-1RI, sVEGFR1, sCD40, and sNCAM-1.  Note: If multiple analyte kits on the above target list are ordered as a panel, only one vial of standard mix is supplied for those analyte kits.

Application: Optimal antibody pair and antigen standard for assaying human Human sNCAM-1/sCD56. Can be multiplexed with other analytes in Human Group 9.  To be used in conjunction with the AimPlex NR Basic Kit (PN: P100001) and a diluent kit. Refer to the AimPlex Multiplex Immunoassay User Manual and kit inserts for the assay procedure.

Storage:  2-8 C in the dark.

Important: Sodium azide forms explosive compounds with heavy metals. These products contain <0.05% (w/w) azide which with repeated contact with lead and copper commonly found in plumbing drains may result in the buildup of shock sensitive compounds. Dispose in accordance with regulations from your institute.

For Research Use Only.  Not for use in diagnostic procedures.

Description:

Neural cell adhesion molecule (NCAM), also called CD56, is a homophilic binding glycoprotein expressed on the surface of neurons, glia, skeletal muscle and natural killer cells. NCAM has been implicated as having a role in cell–cell adhesion, neurite outgrowth, synaptic plasticity, and learning and memory. In anatomic pathology, pathologists make use of CD56 immunohistochemistry to recognize certain tumors. Normal cells that stain positively for CD56 include NK cells, activated T cells, the brain and cerebellum, and neuroendocrine tissues.  Tumors that are CD56-positive are myeloma, myeloid leukemia, neuroendocrine tumors, Wilms' tumor, neuroblastoma, NK/T cell lymphomas, pancreatic acinar cell carcinoma, pheochromocytoma, paraganglioma, small cell lung carcinoma, and the Ewing's sarcoma family of tumors.
